Nutritional Choice of the Month - October 2009:
Four Stars for Fish

I know a few of my clients want to slap me sometimes because I am always pushing them to eat more fish, or at least make it more of a regular part of their diet.  I’ll often advocate fish because many people report they don’t overly full after having it out at a restaurant, for example.  We all know that uncomfortable when we don’t listen to our bodies and end up eating too much.

Fish is healthy for our heart and our brain.  It was proven recently that fish rivals the effects of anti-depressants (http://www.jonnybowden.com/2009/08/fish-oil-rivals-antidepressants-in.html).  Aim for a diet filled with plenty of fish and exercise.  We know exercise releases natural endorphins that make us feel good mentally.  Pair that with the positive psychological effects of fish and you’re good to go- both happy and healthy!
